It’s Thursday morning but we’re all still talking about the Met Gala that happened on Monday night.
This year’s Met Gala honoured the fine work of Twentieth century Couturier Charles James, and we’re pretty excited to learn the news that film mogul Harvey Weinstein has agreed to manage the luxury fashion brand and give it new life!
“Charles James was one of the most incredible couturiers in the history of fashion and this label deserves to be a household name in the same ranks as Chanel, Dior and Oscar de la Renta,” Harvey Weinstein.
“There isn’t a single designer in high fashion who wouldn’t name him as a major influence. We are beyond thrilled to be spearheading the revival of this brand and bringing it back to the world’s finest retailers.”
You can catch a retrospective of Charles James’ work at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this year. We’ll keep you posted with more news as and when we get it.
