While many Brits were probably sobbing uncontrollably at the England World Cup result last night, it was a different story altogether for the A-listers across the pond, as they got glammed up for the Critics’ Choice Television Awards at the Bevery Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
Some of our favourite TV stars from Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco to Orphan Black protagonist Tatiana Maslany walked the red carpet in their finest ensembles, but we have to say that is was Emmy Rossum who stole the sartorial show for us.
The Shameless star looked absolutely phenomenal as she walked the red carpet in a one-shouldered floor-length magenta Monique Lhuillier gown, which she accessorised with contrasting blue drop earrings and a voluminous down-do. Nothing more, nothing less. It was utter perfection which proves that less is more (as far as accessories are concerned) and that elegance really does still reign supreme on the red carpet.
