And the bride wore… Versace!

Two very exciting things have happened this morning. Firstly it’s been confirmed that the traditional white gown Angelina Jolie wore on her wedding day was made by Donatella Versace. And secondly – we get to see pictures of the dress in question. Pinch us!

“Versace is honoured to announce that on August 23, 2014 Angelina Jolie chose to wear a stunning Atelier Versace creation designed by Donatella Versace in occasion of her marriage to Brad Pitt,” reads a statement from the brand.

“Jolie was perfect in a white silk-satin Atelier Versace gown gathered at the bust with elongated train, detailed with the embroidered drawings of her children that got reproduced also on the silk veil. She accessorised her stunning creation wearing a pair of white Versace silk satin pumps.”

The description is pretty detailed and accurate, but it’s always handy to have the picture to stare at for those who can’t visualise it. People magazine was on hand to take pictures of the happy bride and groom – as well as their six children, naturally – which will be revealed in the September 15th issue when it hits newsstands. In the meantime, we have the cover image to tide us over… what a beautiful bride Angelina makes!

Did you predict that she was going to wear Atelier Versace?
