Famed for making recent fashion history as the first black model to open Prada’s show at fashion week since Naomi Campbell in 1997, Anok Yai has been announced as the newest global ambassador for Estée Lauder.

The 20-year-old Egyptian-born beauty whom joins fellow brand spokesmodels including Carolyn Murphy, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner and Misty Copeland said of her latest role, “To be a woman of colour representing an iconic brand that has continuously been at the forefront of beauty, is an honour”.  Yai continued,“I hope to be an inspiration to young girls and women and encourage them to feel undeniably beautiful.”

Appearing in British Vogue twice this year as well as Prada’s SS18 campaign, it’s safe to say the future is bright for Yai.
