Looks like Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne can’t get enough of each other at the moment. As well as working on a rumoured music single together, Pharrell has also been tapped by the Kaiser himself, Karl Lagerfeld, to appear in a Chanel mini movie alongside Cara Delevingne and super adorable six-year-old Hudson Kroenig. Phew. And although it was initially thought that Pharrell and Cara were shooting the music video to their super-secret single in Paris a few days ago, it was in actual fact part of the Chanel mini movie. Kind of confusing but we hope we’ve cleared it up. The movie is reportedly part of the forthcoming Chanel pre-fall show on December 2nd. That’s the day after the British Fashion Awards, FYI. [Grazia]

Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams have been making sweet music together! It’s been reported that the pair have been working on a song together in a bid to launch Cara Delevingne’s music career… and the song will apparently be released when we least expect it. “They’re going to release the song without warning, complete with video and global launch,” a ‘source’ allegedly told The Sun. “They seem to have formed a great little writing collective and apparently it’s a huge song.” The song could potentially debut pretty soon, as Cara and Pharrell have apparently been spotted in Paris filming the music video. Looks like Cara’s dream of taking the music world by storm is looking like a reality! Could it be a contender for Christmas Number 1? Only time will tell, but we are beyond excited to listen to what one of the most in-demand models and one of the most popular musicians of 2014 have up their sleeve! [Telegraph]

It’s here! After months of waiting somewhat patiently, we are thrilled to announce that the debut Pharrell Williams x Adidas collection is available to buy from today! Hallelujah The singer has customised 10 limited edition pairs of the popular adidas Stan Smith sneakers with unique, hand illustrated designs that all reflect his happy and positive outlook on life. Hand drawn flowers and words such as “power” and “I need U” feature on the sneakers, making choosing a pair to take home quite a difficult task. We think we’d go for the ones adorned with daisies, although we’ve changed our mind quite a few times these past few hours… You can get your hands (and feet) on the sneakers exclusively at colette-Paris; each pair retails for €500 with all profits going to Pharrell’s charity From One Hand To anOTHER. Be quick as there’s only a limited number of sneakers available and we predict they’re going to sell out pretty fast. Which one is your favourite?

Another day, another triumph for fashion’s busiest musician. Pharrell Williams has teamed up with Uniqlo for a pretty cool collection under the name “i am OTHER” – and even Pharrell himself can’t believe how awesome the pieces are… “When I first tried some of the things we produced on, I couldn’t stop myself from showing it on,” he said. “ I was like, ‘Wow, this is going to be revolutionary.’ It’s so soft – gentle to the touch – and I just could not believe the price it’s going for.” The collection comprises of T-shirts for both men and women which come in a staggering 14 different colours and patterns, as well as seven baseball caps featuring slogans such as “Think Other” and “THE SAME IS LAME”. We think he’s done a pretty good job of modelling them, and we predict a lot of cool celebs will be spotted out and about in the pieces soon enough. The Pharrell Williams for Uniqlo collection is out on April 24th. [Vogue]

As if working on a fragrance with Comme des Garcons and creating a range of “happy” inspired t-shirts with Peace Love World wasn’t enough, it’s just been announced that he will be collaborating with Adidas on a fab new collection slated to launch in the summer! “Working with an iconic brand like Adidas is such an incredible opportunity,” he said. “From the classic track suit, to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths, Adidas has been a staple in my life. This is an exciting partnership for both me and for Bionic Yarn.” We don’t know exactly what pieces will feature in this exciting new collection, but we will of course keep you posted the second we find out. Read MorePharrell and Comme des Garcons are collaborating on a fragrance!
Pharrell Williams has made quite a name for himself in the fashion biz – these past few months in particular thanks to his penchant for larger than life headgear – so it comes as no surprise to learn that he is working on his very own perfume! The musician will be teaming up with Japanese label Comme des Garcons for a unisex fragrance entitled Girl, to coincide with the release of his new album of the same name. “This is the first time we have created a fragrance for a musician and I can think of no greater talent and no greater gentleman to have done this with,” said Adrian Joffe, CEO of Comme des Garcons Parfums. “Pharrell knew exactly what he wanted the perfume to smell like right from the beginning. “It has been an honour to work with such a creative artist with a great vision, which for Comme des Garcons is the most important thing.” The scent is slated for release in September this year, although no other details are currently known. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we have more info. Are you excited about this new collaboration?

Pharrell Williams thinks only “cheap-minded” people wear flash jewellery. The 36 year old hip-hop artist, who has clothing labels Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Footwear and has designed glasses and jewellery for Louis Vuitton, hates the large, gaudy accessories other rap stars are famous for sporting. He said: “I don’t understand bling – I never wore any. To me, it’s cheap jewellery for the cheap-minded. I don’t associate myself with the hip-hop fraternity. Pieces that I design are only of the best quality.” Despite his hatred of diamond-laden jewellery, Pharrell does like some aspects of hip-hop style.

The collection is called Blason and is actually a joint effort between Pharrell and Louis Vuitton’s creative consultant, Camille Miceli. It’s much anticipated unveiling occurred during couture week and pictures from the line have been floating around the internet since. Our thoughts? Well to call the line pretentious would be an understatement. Most of what we’ve seen has been completely over the top and dare we say tacky?

I nearly fainted when I saw this pic of Pharrell. He is too cute, looking so fresh and so clean. Papermag has a great interview with him: Though he helped spark this year’s trucker-caps ‘n’ tube-socks trend, Pharrell is so over that gear now. At the Paper photo shoot he avoids the stylist’s tattered vintage T-shirts, saying, “I don’t wanna be looking like no Chris [Martin] from Coldplay.” Instead, he sticks with the Japanese vanity label Bathing Ape and his own line of duds, Billionaire Boys Club. Today it’s BAPE sneakers and skullcap; saggy BBC jeans and a T-shirt. Far from looking “60,” he’s handsome as can be, a fact not lost on the women in his life.
Read MoreWhy Are Richard Mille Watches So Expensive? Here’s Why!
Richard Mille timepieces are the Ferraris of the watch world. With price tags rivaling luxury icons like Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. So what makes Richard Mille watches so shockingly expensive? Well, their cutting-edge innovation, brand prestige, scarcity, exotic materials, and expert craftsmanship all converge to make Richard Mille watches haute horology’s hypercars. This astronomical pricing stems from Richard Mille’s relentless pursuit of cutting-edge engineering and avant-garde design. The brand spares no expense in sourcing space-age materials and precision manufacturing to create some of the most technically advanced watches ever conceived. Combined with the prestige of the Richard Mille name, the brand’s tiny production runs, and masterful hand-finishing by expert watchmakers, you have a recipe for a luxury timepiece costing as much as an estate on Malibu’s Carbon Beach. Let’s explore why Richard Mille is able to routinely shatter price records in the luxury watch market, and whether these astronomical costs are justified for diehard enthusiasts of high watchmaking. The answers reveal just how specialized and costly it is for Richard Mille to push the boundaries of horology to their absolute limit. Why Are Richard Mille Watches So Expensive? 1. The Richard Mille Brand Name Commands Exclusivity and Cachet One of the main reasons Richard Mille can charge a premium for their watches comes down to the power of their brand name. In just over two decades, Richard Mille has become one of the most prestigious and coveted names in high-end watchmaking. They’ve carved out a niche as THE brand for cutting-edge watch technology and avant-garde design. Richard Mille made a splash right out the gate in 1999 with the tonneau-shaped RM 001 tourbillon watch. Its distinct case shape and skeletonized dial showcasing the mesmerizing tourbillon mechanism encapsulated the brand’s signature style – blending unconventional materials and design with technical […]

As well as her own interpretation of that Pharrell Williams hat (made by Stephen Jones, may we say) Donna Karan also showcased plenty of versatile pieces, including stunning separates, new silhouettes, and more print than you can shake a stick at. And last but not least, Carolina Herrera went totally modern on us as she debuted a collection full of bold digital prints that were, in a word, breathtaking. Not getting your hands on Time’s ‘100 Most Influential People’ issue would pretty much be a travesty, as there is so much going on inside it! Not only is Beyonce the cover star, but there are a host of big fashion names that also made the cut – from Phoebe Philo to Natalie Massenet, among others – as well as some of our old favourites like Mr Happy himself, Pharrell Williams, and the ever controversial Miley Cyrus. The full list will be unveiled when the magazine goes on sale, but it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t give you a few sneaky snippets. Here’s what Stella McCartney had to say about Phoebe Philo… “One of the few female designers, she celebrates the simple and champions the quality and reality of a woman’s wardrobe,” Stella said. “When people invest in her work, they have it for life. One of the things we share is the reality that the clothes we design are actually worn.” Jenna Lyons’ words about BFC chairman and Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet were also just as inspiring… “The word visionary is lofty, overused. Somewhat abused,” she said. “There are few people who can really see something that doesn’t exist. Create it. Explain it. And get others to follow. Natalie Massenet is, in fact, that visionary.” What high praise indeed! Make sure to pick up your copy of the magazine to find out what Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg had to say about Beyonce and also what Dolly Parton had to say about her goddaughter Miley Cyrus! [Grazia]

Read More“I think it is better to be stylish than trendy” – Miley Cyrus, Fashion, November 2013
It doesn’t look like we can go a single day without something new from Miley Cyrus popping up; earlier this week we gushed over her Harper’s Bazaar magazine cover, yesterday we dissected her brand new music video in great detail, and today it’s all about her appearance on Fashion‘s November issue. Yes November issues are already been released -where has the time gone, eh? Miley was photographed by Chris Nicholls, and is rocking a Kufmanfranco dress for the striking, attention-grabbing front cover. Inside the mag, as well as posing for some gorgeous pictures (not a single poked-out tongue, foam finger or wrecking ball in sight) Miley opens up about that MTV VMA performance, her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, and her taste in fashion… “I can go through so many clothes say ‘no, that’s not me’ right away. I’m so adamant and controlling and OCD about my work that I can scare some people—especially when it comes to clothes,” she said. “I have a very specific style of my own and I think it is better to be stylish than trendy. I find vintage Celine or Chanel and mix it with athletic or vintage pieces makes a look modern and fresh. Vintage makes everything look punk.” And what about her Gwen-Stefani-esque outfit she wore while arriving at this year’s MTV VMAs? “I found what I wore on the red carpet to the VMAs with Pharrell. It was a Dolce and Gabbana piece from 1992—the year I was born. He saw it and said, ‘you have to buy it.’ I think that outfit added a factor that the other girls couldn’t compete with. “Pharrell says it’s not about what you’re wearing; it’s the way you wear it. That was a lesson I took to heart. I think it is important that I […]

In a bid to boost ratings and ensure her Styled to Rock show is the best it can be when it debuts across the pond, Rihanna has brought in a very special final judge for the first series of the US version. And it’s none other than her own personal stylist Mel Ottenberg. “Mel and I have such a similar aesthetic,” Rihanna said. “It’s as if he can read my mind sometimes. I love his attention to detail and all the research he does for every look. He is more than a stylist. He is an artist.” As well as dressing the Bajan singing sensation, Mel has also styled the likes of Cate Blanchett, Chloe Sevigny and even James Franco, so we’re confident he will make a great judge on the show. As we told you last week, he will be joined by Victoria’s Secret model Erin Wasson and rap-star Pharrell Williams. Let’s just hope the contestants and their designs are as promising as the new judging panel! [Express]

Rihanna’s Styled to Rock definitely isn’t getting axed – and to prove it, the gorgeous Victoria’s Secret model Erin Wasson and music star Pharrell Williams have been tapped as judges for the US version of the show. “As a leading model and mainstay in the fashion industry, Erin’s unapologetic approach to fashion and free-spirited style will give the Styled to Rock designers invaluable insight,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, a spokesperson of Style Media. “With Rihanna as executive producer and Pharrell and Erin as mentors, our designers will gain incredible experience while also being challenged in new ways as they compete to earn the title of America’s next trendsetting designer.” Nicola Roberts and Henry Holland were the judges on the UK version which aired on Sky Living last year, and although we couldn’t fault their contributions to the show, we can see why the producers brought in a Victoria’s Secret babe to try and boost ratings. Fingers crossed it goes down well with the American crowd! [Vogue]

Since Kate Moss donned her little hot-pants outfit to the UK’s favourite music event – Glastonbury – a few years ago, festival goers have treated the occasion like a bizarre, mud-filled catwalk – parading their finest (and often loudest) wardrobes to the masses. The best (or maybe worst) thing about this? There are no rules. But let’s not limit this to the girls. And having said that, to the festival crowd themselves. Performers after all, are under the scrutiny of the fields of fashionistas, fans and cameras, and the men are no exception. Here’s a few that we’ve picked out: Pete Doherty – Dressed in his faithful trilby hat, Pete chose a military/old band style top in a black and gold jersey material for his performance on The Other Stage. Thumbs up to Pete for the casual take on this formal theme. Although we’re not so sure about the navy blue polo shirt underneath, luckily Pete can pull off just about anything without it looking out of the ordinary.
