We guess it’s true what they say: once you get your first tattoo you’re pretty much addicted! It was only last week Cara Delevingne got her first bit of ink (a tiger on her index finger) but she was back in the chair for another tattoo – this time opting to get her initials CJD (the J stands for Jocelyn, by the way – you learn something new every day!) on her hand. What do you think? “It was her first tattoo, but you know, she was not nervous! Not one bit. She was perfect,” said Big Bang, the celeb tattoo artist who also did Cara’s tiger tatt. (His A-list clients also include Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Rita Ora among others!) “Cara was good in the chair, real good. First tattoo… she was an absolute pro. There was no diva supermodel behaviour, not at all, she’s the coolest most down to earth girl.” Tell us something we didn’t already know! What do we think Cara will get next? [Grazia]

While Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Diane Kruger and more lovely ladies were swanning around the Coachella Festival showcasing their effortless style credentials at the weekend, a host of some of our other fave celebs strutted their stuff along the red carpet for this year’s MTV Movie Awards. Rising stars like Chloe Moretz and Bella Thorne, in-demand catwalk modes like Karlie Kloss, and general legendary icons such as Kylie Minogue were all lending their support to the awards ceremony, while looking gorgeous in the process. Selena Gomez was easily one of our best-dressed ladies as she literally dazzled on the red carpet in a gold, sparkly Julien Macdonald dress. We were also pretty keen on Chloe Moretz’s Louis Vuitton attire, as it just goes to show that you don’t have to wear a full-on gown to turn heads for the right reasons. Following on from the success of last year’s Gucci Timepieces & Jewellery Music Fund which supported emerging Asian musical talent, the Italian fashion House has launched a UK Music Fund to give British artists the same opportunity. Gucci will team up with The World Heart Beat Music Academy in London to give children the chance to be musically trained. A host of famous faces have already got behind the cause, in particular DJ Jo Whiley and singer Emeli Sandé. “It’s crucial that young people today have the chance to express themselves through music and are given opportunities to do so,” Emily Sandé said. “Projects like this make music available to everyone; disadvantaged youths in particular will be able to tell their story and get their voices heard. “These are issues that are close to my heart, so I’m really proud to be part of it.” Additionally, 10 children from the World Heart Beat Music Academy will also be given the chance to attend Grammy Camp in Los Angeles – a programme which aims to coach rising young talent. Maybe the next Adele will be found… This isn’t the only musical event Gucci is getting behind though – don’t forget the Gucci Chime for Change concert happening later this year with performances from Beyonce, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Florence and the Machine and more. Another Adele story this week, but this time it has nothing to do with her potential wedding dress as the focus is on her true talent: music! Yep, our Adele is shining on the cover of Elle US May (in vintage Alberta Ferretti, no less), which also just so happens to be the magazine’s Women in Music issue. We think Adele had that one in the bag from the start really – she did win an Oscar for her music this year already, how many other female singers can say that, eh? Adele was shot by Thomas Whiteside, and is sporting her signature beehive and flawless makeup on the front cover; we love the dress but we wouldn’t have minded a pop of colour outfit-wise. It is a May issue after all! Rita Ora and Alicia Keys also have their own individual covers for the Women in Music issue, so keep your eyes peeled for them. Do you like Adele’s cover?

There’s nothing quite like a good British award ceremony to warm us up for the prestigious Oscars that are taking place this Sunday! (Write it in your diaries and stock up on the coffee and popcorn – it’s going to be a long night and we want you to spend it with us!) Anyway last night wasn’t about the Oscars, it was about the one and only Brit Awards which made us very proud to hail from this fine nation! Musicians, actresses and generally all sorts of hot and glamorous stars from across the globe turned up to London’s O2 Arena for the 2013 Brit Awards, and predictably there were quite a few sartorial red carpet choices that set tongues wagging and pulses racing. Always a MFL favourite, Taylor Swift stunned the crowd in a jaw-dropping sexy black Elie Saab number, while Bond Girl Berenice Marlohe had a license to thrill in a wow-worthy gold Donna Karan Atelier dress. It’s a good job Jessie J wasn’t at the Grammy Awards, because the ultra-revealing Versace dress she chose would have violated every inch of the conservative dress code. Nice to see her making the most of her long, raven looks before she goes for the chop in aid of Red Nose Day. Good for you, Jess! Also representing British talent was model Jourdan Dunn in a sexy mini Balmain dress, and Paloma Faith who sparkled in Dolce and Gabbana. Always one for giving us an attention-grabbing outfit is our Paloma, and boy do we love her for it! Take a look at the list of our best-dressed gals from the evening. Who gets your vote? Read MoreSteep vs. Cheap: Heeled cut-out ankle boots
Cut-out boots are having quite a moment. From Balenciaga’s chunky but pricey ones to varied high street replicas; worn without socks or with Fearne Cotton-style ankle grazing ones, they’re fast replacing the wedge sneaker – especially in the comfort stakes. So, when we spotted none other than Rita Ora, the Queen Bee of alternative fashion mash-ups, sporting a lust-worthy cut-out boot front row at the Chanel Couture show in Paris last month, their ‘Hot Right Now’ status was cemented. But Rita’s Alexander Wang ‘Jill’ boots matched her available fashion budget too, cashing in at a pricey £745. Urban to perfection, we love the buckle and lace-up detail, along with the on-trend white platform. But for those of us not blessed with Jay-Z’s Midas touch, a budget version is available! Head over to high street haven Topshop, where you can pick up a similar version for a pocket-pleasing £85. So, will it be a spend or splurge kinda shoe situ for you? Steep: Alexander Wang Jill lace-up leather ankle boots, £745, available at Selfridges Cheap: Aftershock cut-out lace-up boots, £85, available at Topshop

It;s nearing the end of yet another eventful and outstanding season at London Fashion Week, and we couldn’t be more excited about the offerings for next season! But as the saying goes, the best is usually saved till last, and so it was onto day 4 of the fash week schedule. Big shot fashion names were on the schedule for day 4, including Tom Ford (gush!), Erdem and Christopher Kane, and we couldn’t be more pleased with what these geniuses put before our eyes for next season! From Burberry to Peter Pilotto, packed with the most exciting names in fashion and the most anticipated shows in the Fashion Month calendar, here are all the highlights you need from day 4 of London Fashion Week: Burberry With Tom Odell serenading show attendees at the catwalk entrance, this show was only set to be on thing: the greatest. Every season, Burberry is the most buzzed about show, attracting a stellar frow (Rita Ora, Tinine Tempah and Kate Beckinsale were all in attendance). And for autumn/winter 2013-14, the fashion crowd was left just a positively dumbstruck. Last season’s fizzy metallics turned glossy and grown up this season, as honeyed caramel trench coats and translucent pencil skirts mixed with skilfully subdued leopard print; a cute heart print on a collared shirt and dress broke the rules, whilst the emphasis on luxe animal prints accented with hard details made this collection a whole lot of fun. Christopher Kane Colour-pop belted buckles; fur-wrapped shoulders and a heavy dose of Kane’s charm made for an eye-pleasing collection. For autumn/winter 2013-14, Christopher Kane – with his PPR gold star badge pinned proudly to his chest – brought us camo print in its most desirable form, and ensured pleated minis and centre-slit skirts tugged at our heart strings. Packed with Kane’s signature bare midriffs; we were also treated to […]

Charting the movements of the ever-evolving world of fashion is no small feat. It’s in. Oh, it’s out now. That’s far too 2012 to be considered for this year, and did you just really say winter coat? Whether we’re considering the size and brand catalogue of the forthcoming Kan-dashian offspring, or just how incomplete we feel every time we look in the mirror to find our eyebrows don’t even come close to Cara’s mega-furry (in a good way) monsters, we thought we’d share February’s fashion ups and downs with you. After all, sharing is so 2013. GOING UP Senso Qimat booties Have you met the new season-perfect boot? These transitional treaders come in a gorgeous pale grey and are fab for when you want to add a spring feeling to your shoe-drobe, without risking frostbite in open-toe sandals. That Super Bowl outfit Sorry, who was Rubin Singer until Queen Bey stomped around on-stage in his creation during her phenom Super Bowl half-time performance? Body suits are the new obsession, (especially with a booty like Bey’s), and Rubin Singer, the ridiculously handsome, New York-based designer who’s dressed the like of Solange Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys and Lea Michele, is our new one to watch! The Big Browed Brit Beauty takeover (and a whole lotta alliteration) We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Cara fever has gripped us, and we’re hypnotised by those brows. The new face of Pepe Jeans, scores of SS’13 campaign under her belt and a Vogue cover to boot – does this girl ever stop? Err, fashion month? With New York Fashion Week in full swing and London Fashion Week a mere nine days away, need we say more? (Note: panic stricken facial expression). Fashion Month is upon us once again, so welcome blisters, food-less days […]
Read MoreDid Hailee Steinfeld get it right or wrong on the Chanel FROW?
If there’s one place to pull out the sartorial big gun s and dress to impress it’s the Chanel Couture Show. The FROW was packed with the hottest celebs from Rita Ora to Chanel fave Diane Kruger, but it was not-so-little-anymore Hailee Steinfeld who grabbed our attention the most. We can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing though… not just yet, anyway. We think Hailee usually nails it on the red carpet with her age-appropriate but fashion-forward looks, but we were a tad perplexed by what she wore on the Chanel front row. We reckon she tried to tackle too many trends in one go which is a risk that sometimes pays off, but maybe not on this occasion… Hailee was sophisticated and mature chic from the waist down, and quirky classic Chanel girl with a twist from the waist up. We love the neon yellow clutch, but between the bright accessory, the hat, the dramatic make-up and the simple shoes, something went a bit wrong. We still admire her for going all-out though, and we’ll continue to anticipate her red carpet outfits in the future. What do you think of Hailee’s Chanel look? [poll id=”389″]

It was an exciting Sunday night, yesterday. Not only did we have the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing results to deal with (do you think the right people left, by the way?) we also had the MTV EMAS to watch! And we’re kind of glad, because things got a bit tense thanks to those results shows! We’ve been looking forward to these awards ever since we found out Heidi Klum would be hosting, and she didn’t let us or her country down! Although we loved all of her many outfit changes (there was a lot of Versace!) our favourite was definitely the blue Versace she sported on the arrivals red carpet. We know all the EMA hosts and hostesses enjoy an outfit change or ten while doing their presenting duties, but nothing beats having a word-class supermodel on the stage, right? Other ladies who impressed us sartorially included Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Gwen Stefani and Rita Ora, who really went for the wow factor in a stunning red Marchesa dress! Hats off to fashion’s recent revival of headgear, in particular the baseball cap. The humble headpiece hasn’t been this lauded since the (stylistically questionable) 80s, and fashion designers are taking a particular liking to it, as they imagine what we want to adorn our heads with, hidden away in their ateliers. Although our love affair with the baseball cap started on the S/S’12 runways, and Olympics fever that gripped us this summer certainly had a part to play; Autumn/Winter ’12 also offered the cap in copious amounts, and varied versions, sitting atop beautifully constructed outfits other than a baseball jersey and track pants tucked into socks. Catwalk cap approval came in the form of multicolour lattice print caps at Lacoste; raised front baker boy caps with mesh inserts and snapbacks at DSquared2 and fun-injected leather versions in red and black, emblazoned with slogans such as ‘Ride It’ on upturned rims at House of Holland. But it’s not only the big names in fashion that approve. The celeb world’s casual adoption of the cap has elevated its status to new heights; with the likes of Rihanna, Jessie J and Rita Ora preferring to wear caps by street names such as Trapstar, Boy London and Obey with high end looks, adding a street-luxe feel to its previously sporty appeal. And now that fashion has had its way with the baseball cap you can expect it to be available in a multitude of prints, doused in all forms of embellishment and worn with everything from a military trend shift to an oversized tweed coat. To celebrate the comeback of the baseball cap, we’ve picked our top 5 favourite versions to suit every budget. 2 Tone Cap, £15, available at Asos Lanvin Curly Lambskin Cap, £420, available at Matches Leopard Print Baseball Cap, £15, […]

Could there have been any more events that went on last night? Not only were some of the biggest and most stylish cities in the world taking part in Fashion’s Night Out, the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards were also happening in Los Angeles. As well as providing celebs another excuse to glam up, get merry and enjoy each other’s company, the VMAs are to celebrate music and the great videos that come with it. However, that’s not to say that the fashion is any less fabulous. Therefore it should come as no surprise to learn that the red carpet was bursting with stylish famous faces, with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Emma Watson sitting pretty on our best dressed list. There was no obvious recurring dress theme this time around, but it’s safe to say that the girls and boys dressed to impressed. It was tough to narrow down our favourites this year, but we’ve tried our best – and don’t forget to have your say in the poll at the bottom! Read MoreSpotlight on: Simone Rocha
As London Fashion Week is fast approaching (where has the time gone?!) we thought we’d put this week’s designer spotlight on someone who made one heck of an impression last season… and that person is Dublin-born Simone Rocha. She may have inherited her eye for fashion and detail from her designer father John Rocha, but Simone definitely got to where she is today on her own merits. Her work is instantly recognised as being a more modern extension of her father’s work, with the use of PVC, lace and metallics in her latest collection proving that she is taking a more contemporary and somewhat masculine route. The 2010 Central Saint Martins graduate only made her London Fashion Week debut when she showed her Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter 2011 collections with Fashion East, but has fast become one of the designers we are looking forward to the most this season. And let’s not forget her gorgeous capsule collection for Topshop that launched in September last year, which proves that she is a versatile designer who is just as capable of catering to the high street too. It’s not just us who love Simone Rocha – the celebs can’t seem to get enough of her either, as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Rita Ora and Lily Cole are just some of her famous fans that have been spotted in her designs. Keep your eyes peeled for her new-season collection; we predict great things!

Read MoreThe Ultimate Date Night Grooming Checklist For Men
Preparing for a date night involves more than just throwing on some clothes and heading out the door. It’s about taking the time to groom and present yourself in the best possible way, ensuring that you feel confident and ready for a memorable evening. This comprehensive guide covers everything from the basics of personal hygiene to the finer details of style, like the right men’s shoes for the perfect outfit, ensuring that every aspect of your grooming is considered. Shower A shower is essential for starting off your date night on the right note. And it’s not just about hygiene—a good shower can also be a great way to relax and mentally prepare for the evening ahead. Make sure to use a gentle body wash that cleanses without stripping your skin of essential moisture. When it comes to your hair, try not to shampoo immediately before your date. Shampooing can remove natural oils from your hair, leading to a frizzier appearance. Instead, shampoo a day before and maybe just rinse your hair with water on the day of the date. This approach helps in maintaining the natural texture and sheen of your hair, making it look its best. Remember—feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin is key to a successful date night. The fresh feeling post-shower boosts your confidence and leaves a good impression on your date. If you’re worried about body odor, choose a deodorant that is long-lasting and complements your body wash. It’s all about feeling fresh, clean, and ready to enjoy a wonderful evening with someone special. Skin Care Paying attention to your skin is an important aspect of personal grooming for a date night. A well-moisturized face looks healthy and also feels great. Opt for a mattifying moisturizer if you have oily skin, as this […]

Removing “bikini line” hair suddenly seemed necessary! Then, in 1987, seven entrepreneurial Brazilian sisters opened up a waxing salon in New York City aptly named J Sisters. They began offering a service that removed all hair front to back, and thus dubbed it the “Brazilian wax.” Throughout the 90s and early 2000s, Brazilians exploded in popularity thanks to celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, tabloid talk, and even a very memorable episode of Sex and the City!
