10 Top Beauty Buys We’re Loving This Week
We still can’t believe it’s nearly the end of September already. It truly feels as though January was just yesterday. Before we know it, Christmas will be upon us and we’ll be on the hunt for must-have beauty buys to recreate fabulous looks just in time for party season. But, until then we’ve got some really lovely treats for you this week and we must admit it was pretty tough to round up all our faves to just 10. But here goes… 1. Charlottte Tilbury Goddess Clay Face Mask. An absolute must for your weekly beauty routine, our only regret, is that we didn’t discover this face mask sooner. Be warned, we break out after every use, but after a couple of days our skin looks and feels so great, and it’s worth the temporary panic. £45 available at Charlotte Tilbury 2. ZOEVA Silk Finish Face Brush. Admittedly when it comes to face brushes, we’re utterly devoted to MAC but ZOEVA’s silk finish face brush has made us reconsider our loyalty….the finish is flawless. £11 available at ZOEVA. 3.Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stain Pop Water (Misty Pink). The latest addition to our low-key day look, YSL’s lip colour adds a hint of pink to lips while keeping them soft, moisturised and hydrated for up to 10 hours. £18.20 available at FeelUnique.com 4. Carven Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Spray 30ml- This distinctive, delicious floral scent has become our signature scent and we suspect it will be for a while to come. It’s smells absolutely divine and lasts all day. £33.50 available at Fragrance Direct. 5. Balance Me Skin Bright Hydrating Face Mist – We love hydrating mists (especially this one by Balance Me) mainly because of their value for money. Not only can they be used to refresh dehydrated skin, but they are the perfect alternative to a toner. £20 available at Balance Me. 6. […]

With autumn in the air, it’s time to think about your holiday shopping, especially the big ticket items for the lady in your life. Okay, it’s not anywhere near Halloween right now, but if you’re looking at luxury gifts, you are going to want to beat the rush. Luxury items are limited items, and to get choice items, it’s important to get started early. Why? Because luxury items are highly desirable. Investopedia notes that they are ‘positional goods’ which are indicative of financial success and position and thus affordable to a select few. Find the items that will give you lady Christmas cheer and fond memories of you by learning about superior online sources that are discreet and have the exclusive items you will both adore. There is little that is dearer to the heart of a sophisticated woman than a stunning hat. No matter her age, a beautiful hat makes a perfect frame for her style. Maison Michel is a Parisian milliner whose hats have graced the shows of the biggest names in fashion, including Chanel, Kenzo, Christian Lacroix, and Karl Lagerfeld. Hats from the prêt-à-porter collection are available at online luxury shopper Matches Fashion, where the striking Fara black fur-felt hat finished with a crimson mohair and silk ribbon can be yours for $655. Pair with Dolce & Gabbana’s open-back, long sleeved midi dress for a timeless and sophisticated silhouette. While giving lingerie is frowned upon as giving her a gift that is more for you than for her, it would take a stern brow to deny the charms of lingerie by La Perla. The Maison silk-satin robe with hand-embroidered Frastaglio lace accents is lingerie taken to the next level, and something she will enjoy putting on as much as you will enjoy helping her take it off. Read MoreDare to Go Bare: Could You Go Make-Up Free?
Over the years, fashion, politics, and society has changed what it means to look feminine. Traditionally, women have used make-up to look and feel more beautiful. Even those deemed natural beauties would wear lipstick, eyeliner, foundation, and other accessories to enhance their appearance. However, many modern-day women dare to go bare, wearing very little or no make-up at all. Do you think you could bare to go without makeup? Feeling Beautiful Do you know a woman with such a great personality or sense of confidence that she exudes beauty from within? It’s something we should all practice. Of course, beauty is a subjective term, and those who understand that seem to care less about conventional definitions and expectations. If you feel confident and beautiful, then no person or fashion norm can take that away from you. Feeling beautiful is found within, not on a sales rack. Skin Deep Our skin is the body’s largest organ, and it’s very important to take care of it. Many women who use little to no makeup report their skin looks and feels better. It doesn’t mean you should not consider the benefits of sunscreen, moisturizer, and cleansers, yet layering your face with cosmetics can have detrimental effects on the skin. For example, women experience discoloration due to the skin’s reaction to foundation or experience breakouts due to clogged pores. Try using less makeup while getting in the habit of keeping your skin clean and looking natural. Forced Beauty Rather than dying your hair and plucking your eyebrows, remember to appreciate your uniqueness and natural beauty. Rather than allowing fashion magazines or short-term trends define what it means to look beautiful, let your natural hair color and shape of brows return. Some women use castor and almond oil on brows to keep the hair looking […]
Read MoreHow To Get Supermodel Style On A Budget
Glamorous supermodels earn their reputation from looking fabulous in every respect – hair, fashion and makeup. However, there’s no need to spend a fortune on stylists, designer wear or makeup artists to adopt supermodel style if you know the tricks of the trade. Instead, pay attention to some of the key principles and be clever with your cash to make the most of your personal supermodel status. Here are a few ideas to help you get started: Your crowning glory Unless they’re getting ready for the runway, supermodels tend to make sure their hair is styled quite naturally and is always clean and shiny. Whether your hair is long or short you can use inexpensive shine drops to bring out the colour and make it look extra smooth and glossy – simply add a few drops and work them through your hair, starting at the ends and moving towards your scalp before blow-drying. Use on frizzy locks as long as you’re careful about the area around your hairline, as adding too much will make your hair look greasy. There are many different brands, including some containing organic products only, so you may want to shop around to find one that suits you best. Your wardrobe Supermodels don’t only wear designer garments, and certainly not all the time. Instead, they have developed the knack of combining stylish items from high street as well as designer stores in unique ways. To make this work you should aim to include one or two “statement” pieces in your wardrobe – these might be a designer bag, a scarf, a pair of shoes, a belt or a top, for example. This means you can dress up the clothes you buy from a great-value online portal, such as for-sale.co.uk, with a little touch of designer class. […]

Read MoreWATCH Gisele’s Chanel No 5 ad in full!
It’s here! The highly anticipated Gisele Bundchen for Chanel No 5 ad campaign video is finally here – and boy was it worth the wait! We told you a few months ago that the Brazilian supermodel would be the new face of the iconic fragrance, and apart from a cheeky teaser pic of her in surf gear that was released last week, details of the campaign have been kept pretty hush hush. Until now, of course. Akin to the memorable Chanel No 5 ad featuring Nicole Kidman, this ad was shot by director Baz Luhrmann – and is everything we ever dreamed it would be. Maybe even that little bit more. Lo-Fang’s rendition of You’re the One That I Want plays in the background, while Gisele goes about her day which consists of spending time with her child, jet-setting around the world, posing for the French fashion House in question, going for a quick surf, and of course, falling in love with Game of Thrones hunk Michiel Huisman. As you do. The more we watch the video – and yes, we have watched it more than once – the more perfect we think the casting has been. And we aren’t the only ones to think so… It’s amazing how she can use her body and convey sensuality or strength,” Baz Luhrmann said. “Gisele’s an aspirational image of a woman who’s perhaps almost impossible to be. You aspire to her, that’s the idea. Gisele herself from my experience is extremely down to earth, very funny, very forthright, very intelligent and a very forward moving, powerful woman.” Very fitting words, indeed. Waste no more time and hit that play button below… enjoy!
Read MoreSneak peek at Gisele for Chanel No.5
We told you a few months ago that one of the most iconic supermodels of our time would be posing for one of the most iconic fragrances in the world – a match made in heaven – and now we have a very sneaky peek of Gisele Bundchen for Chanel No.5 to share with you. How exciting! The Brazilian beauty treated her fans to a pic of her on the set of the ad campaign as she posted it to her Instagram account with the caption, “So excited to introduce a behind the scene picture of my next campaign for @chanelofficial. #chaneln5 #theonethatiwant”. Hawk-eyed readers may have noticed that the surfboard Gisele is carrying isn’t your ordinary surfboard, oh no. It is in actual fact Chanel’s very own surfboard – the very same one that Beyonce posed with for CR Fashion Book. It was going to take someone special to upstage Brad Pitt’s ad, but we think Gisele in surfer gear with beach waves in hair may very well do the trick. We can’t wait to see the ad campaign in full – we predict it’s going to be spectacular!
Read More“Smart Women”… with Clinique and its Smart Custom Serum!
There’s a brand new product on the beauty market currently taking the world by storm – and we have none other than Clinique to thank for it! Yep, Clinique has released yet another revolutionary product that we don’t know what we did without prior to its launch, and that product goes by the name of Clinique Smart Custom Serum. The words “smart” and “custom” really are the key there, as the serum understands each person’s individual skin and therefore possesses the powers to read its history and change its appearance – for the better – in the future. In other words, it’s taken five years of research to ensure that uneven skin tone, age lines and wrinkles will be tackled in the best way possible, all thanks to one affordable fragrance-free serum! And the best thing is that it’s for women of all ages, and all skin types and colours. One size really does fit all in this instance. To celebrate this revolutionary new serum, Clinique has created a neat little video which promotes smart women, and has enlisted the help of beauty and skincare blogger Caroline Hirons to help it do so. In the video, Caroline – who is also a qualified facialist so knows about other women’s skin as well as her own – talks about the smartest woman that she knows, describing her as “radiant”, “talented”, “active” and “true to herself” among other great things. Who is she talking about? Well now that would be telling – you’ll have to watch the campaign video to find out. Enjoy! Who is the smartest woman that you know?
Read MoreJean Paul Gaultier is stopping his ready-to-wear!
We’re a little bit gutted to announce that Jean Paul Gaultier is putting an end to his ready-to-wear line. That means no collection, no catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week, no relatively affordable garments. Someone pass us an entire box of tissues… According to WWD, the designer has made this drastic and heart-breaking choice due to commercial constraints and the pace in which collections need to be churned out every season. JPG will, however, continue to work hard on the Haute Couture collections, and will of course be keeping his fragrance and accessories ranges. Phew! “For some time, I have found true fulfilment in working on the haute couture and it allows me to express my creativity and my taste for research and experimentation,” the designer said. “At the same time the world of ready-to-wear has evolved considerably. Commercial constraints, as well as the frenetic pace of collections don’t leave any freedom, nor the necessary time to find fresh ideas and to innovate. “This is a new beginning, I will be able to express again my creativity fully and without constraints.” We’re looking forward to seeing these fresh ideas for ourselves! The last ever ready-to-wear show will be on Saturday September 27th during Paris Fashion Week. We predict it’s going to be emotional! [Vogue]
Read MoreSofia Vergara named highest paid TV actress… for the third year running!
Modern Family actress and red carpet stunner Sofia Vergara has just been named the highest paid actress in television – for the third year in a row! According to Forbes, Sofia reportedly earns an eye-watering $325,000 per episode of Modern Family, which makes up quite a large part of her $37 million fortune. However it isn’t just her work on Modern Family which has made the pennies come in – she also has endorsements from Diet Pepsi, CoverGirl, Head & Shoulders, AT&T, and Synthroid to thank. And that’s not all – she also has a clothing line for K Mart, her own fragrance, and has also co-founded the multi-million dollar empire that is Latin World Entertainment. Have we left anything out? We’re exhausted! Coming in second and third respectively are Law and Order: SVU actress Mariska Hargitay and Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory. Although now that the BBT cast are reportedly earning around $1 million per episode, we think Kaley might slowly be catching up. Can Sofia get the title for the fourth year running? Only time will tell!
Read MoreThe Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne for My Burberry ad campaign is here!
We showed you the teaser pic a few months ago, but now it’s finally time to check out the brand spanking new ad campaign for Burberry’s new fragrance My Burberry – starring the iconic Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne! “Kate has such a presence and she has a great sense of humor and style,” Cara said of her co-star. “We had met a few times before we worked on the My Burberry shoot together so I knew we would have fun together and that the pictures would be great. I’ve always admired Kate.” This is the first time that Kate and Cara – both iconic British supermodels – have posed together for an ad campaign, so this is a pretty special moment for so many reasons. Mario Testino had the honour of shooting the girls, who are both wearing Burberry’s Heritage trench coats. What else? And speaking of special, Burberry’s new fragrance is exactly that. “My Burberry is the true embodiment of our brand, in scent, in design and in attitude,” said Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey. “A fragrance that takes its lead from the iconic Burberry trench has to be outstanding in every way.” The “My Burberry” name apparently came from the way in which proud owners refer to their Burberry trench coats, but it also might have something to do with the interaction of the perfume and campaign. The brand is getting more personal than ever, allowing shoppers to customise their very own My Burberry fragrance bottle, as well as the ending of the TV advert with their own initials. Pretty mind-blowing! As for the scent itself, it was “inspired by a London garden after the rain” which is pretty much one of the nicest, distinctive smells of Britain. Don’t forget to watch the video campaign below – it’s […]
Read MoreThe natural choice for skin kind cosmetics
Did you know that many of the most frequently used cosmetic products are thought to contain chemicals that can cause cancers, disrupt hormone levels in the body, and potentially poison your nervous system? That is why demand for natural products has never been greater than it is right now. Many people put their trust in cosmetic legislation to keep them safe when it comes to the products we purchase, however it also pays to know a little ourselves about what we should look out for. When choosing products it’s important to let Mother Nature to lend a helping hand, and point you in the direction of these ingredients: Aloe Vera This succulent plant has been used in herbalism across the world for thousands of years, and is believed to boast a range of skin soothing, healing and rejuvenating properties. It can be found in a wide variety of skin care products. Honey Cleopatra was said to enjoy milk and honey baths and so should you. Honey offers antioxidant and hydrating properties that can cleanse and moisturise the skin. It is also extremely gentle and is suitable for even the most sensitive of skin. Olive oil The uses of this oil are almost endless, from treating dry hair, nails and skin to replacing shaving foam or as an eczema treatment. Raw coconut oil This is an easily-absorbed moisturiser that also contains an antibiotic element. Rosehip-seed oil This is an antioxidant that can improve the appearance of scars, age spots and even wrinkles. Other simple ingredients to look out for include cucumber, which has a cooling effect and parsley, which is an effective antiseptic. Then there is the moisturising properties of avocado; lavender has calming and soothing properties, and vitamin E is an antioxidant. Going for the anti-chemical approach does not have […]
Read MoreCara Delevingne poses nude for Tom Ford’s Black Orchid
Cara Delevingne may as well have a permanent section on our website, as not a day goes by without us mentioning her work or her latest loveably goofy antics. Today is all about her work as a model, as she has posed nude for Tom Ford in the new ad campaign for his Black Orchid fragrance. Cara was shot by Mario Sorrenti for the sensual ad campaign, and is posing completely nude in a pool of orchids which are strategically placed to cover her modesty. Much to the annoyance of all male Cara fans, we imagine. She is of course clutching a bottle of the Black Orchid fragrance, but we wouldn’t blame anyone for missing it on first or even second glance. The smoky eye make-up and sleek black nail polish only adds to the seductive sexiness of the ad campaign and fragrance. We absolutely love this ad campaign; Cara can do no wrong!
Read MoreCheryl Fernandez Versini has a brand new Madame Tussauds waxwork – complete with a big shiny engagement ring!
A new name, a new marital status, a new rock on her finger, and now a brand new waxwork… we definitely see a theme here! Cheryl Fernandez Versini (formerly Cheryl Cole, duh!) has got herself a shiny new waxwork at Madame Tussauds, and we think it might just be her most realistic one yet! “It’s time to refresh her look especially now she’s about to burst back onto our TV screens with imminent return of the X Factor,” said Madame Tussauds marketing manager Matthew Clarkson. The timing is pretty perfect, although we do think Cheryl has thrown a spanner in the works by choosing to lighten her locks even further these past few weeks, thus making the waxwork already look a tad out of date. Still, beady eyed readers and Madame T’s visitors will notice that the newlywed has her big shiny engagement ring on her finger, which still makes the waxwork nice and relevant. Talk about attention to detail! What do you think of Chez’s new waxwork? Is this one your favourite? [Image]
Read MoreBritney Spears turns lingerie designer!
She spends a lot of her on-stage time parading around in her underwear, so it makes perfect sense that Britney Spears will now be designing her very own range. It’s been a long time coming, if you ask us. And given the success of all her existing fragrances, we predict that her underwear will follow suit. “Every woman should feel confident and beautiful in everything she puts on,” Britney said in a statement. “My vision is to create pieces that are sexy, luxurious, and comfortable at the same time.” Those are definitely three words we can get on board with – especially the luxurious part. And speaking of luxurious, the Intimate Britney Spears collection reportedly comprises of everything from matching underwear sets to kimonos to sleepwear, and features detailed shoulder strap, stunning embellishments, crochet edges, satin ribbons, lace trims, and so much more. Bra sizes will range from A-J, which means that the collection is suitable for pretty much everyone! Hooray! The collection is slated to launch on September 9th for the US and Canda, and September 26th for the rest of us here in Europe, and will be available at over 180 stores worldwide as well as www.intimatebritneyspears.com. Who’s excited? [Grazia]
Read MoreJuicy Couture addresses those closure rumours
Basically, the Juicy Couture label we have all grown up loving isn’t closing as some previous rumours may have suggested. “The Juicy Couture brand is strong and thriving globally, with nearly 200 stores around the world,” the label told British Vogue, in a bid to set the record straight and get the truth out. “As part of Authentic Brands Group’s comprehensive strategy to expand the Juicy Couture brand globally and re-energise the brand in the US, the existing Juicy Couture stores in the US are being phased out. These stores were opened under the previous owner of the brand and are no longer representative of the Juicy Couture brand today and our vision for the brand’s future. We plan to open new concept US stores in new locations in 2015.” “The new US stores are part of a broader brand strategy that also includes the growth of our Juicy Couture Black Label collection internationally, as well as prestige fragrance collections in key retail locations. All of our plans are consistent with the premium image of Juicy Couture globally.” Y’hear that, Juicy fans? The label isn’t going anywhere! Does that “no longer representative of the Juicy Couture brand” bit mean that those wonderful pink and black velour tracksuits we lived in during High School will be a thing of the past? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but we are pretty excited to see what the label has up its sleeve!
Read MoreGisele is the new face of Chanel No.5
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West aren’t the only ones we need to say congratulations to this morning – Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen also deserves a hearty congrats too, as it’s just been announced that she is the new face of the iconic and timeless fragrance Chanel No.5. Gisele will be working with Baz Luhrmann for the ad campaign, so we’re pretty excited to see what the pair come out with. The last time the Great Gatsby director worked on a Chanel No.5 advert was with Nicole Kidman back in 2004 (exactly 10 years ago – doesn’t that make you feel old?), and we all know how incredible that ad was! Akin to Nicole, we expect to see Gisele rocking some of the finest Chanel creations for her video and print campaigns and since there’s no shortage of intricate Chanel piece to choose from, we are confident she’s going to blow us away. The ad is slated for release later this year so watch this space! [Grazia]
Read MoreJoey Essex signs to Select Model Management
We have a feeling that what we’re about to tell you will divide opinion, but Joey Essex of The Only Way is Essex fame has just been given a modelling contract. Joey will join the likes of David Gandy and Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dornan in the Select Model Management books “We are really happy about having Joey Essex on board ,” said a spokesperson for Select Men. “We are a tough agency and are renowned for creating stars. As an agency, our reputation for booking fragrances/campaigns and film have created the biggest names in the industry. “We saw Joeys potential for world domination with his huge UK following, Select Men will take him to the next level and make him a global star.” Does this mean that we can expect to see Joey as the face of a popular men’s fragrance in the near future? Could he be the new David Beckham and be the face and body of a major clothing brand? Only time will tell! Are you pleased with Select’s newest signing? [Daily Mail]
Read MoreBlake Lively owns the Grace of Monaco red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival is in full swing, and you can always count on Blake Lively to show everyone how it’s done on the red carpet. Mrs Ryan Reynolds looked breath-taking (there’s a sentence we’ve said time and time again and will probably never get bored of saying!) as she attended the Grace of Monaco premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. She chose to wear a stunning scarlet Gucci Premiere dress for the occasion, which came complete with a sinfully sexy thigh high slit – the perfect excuse for Blake to get her long, bronzed pins out! We didn’t think anything was going to top the Gucci Premiere dress she wore to the Met Gala a few weeks ago, but we think this might have just done it! Blake Lively wearing Gucci Premiere on a big red carpet is pretty much expected now that she is the face of the fragrance, but that certainly doesn’t mean we’re going to tire of it. Akin to Jennifer Lawrence who seldom fail to impress in Christian Dior, we think Blake Lively has a lot more jaw-dropping Gucci looks to present to us.
Read MoreAlicia Keys inks Givenchy perfume deal
Without bursting into song so early on a Thursday morning, we’d just like to point out that we’ve always thought that Alicia Keys was “on fire” (sorry!) and thought it was about time the fashion and beauty world did something about it. Well, it looks as though as though our prayers have been answered as it’s just been announced that the singer is the brand new face of Givenchy’s latest fragrance. “I’m honored to introduce the world to the newest scent by Givenchy,” Alicia Keys said. “Givenchy has long been one of the world’s most iconic luxury fashion houses, and a personal favourite of mine.” The perfume that Alicia will be fronting doesn’t have a name yet as it’s reportedly still in production, but it’s slated to launch in September so we’ll let you know all the juicy deets as soon as we find out more. Congrats, Alicia! [WWD]
Read MoreGeorgia May Jagger is the new face of Thierry Mugler’s Angel
Things just keep on getting better for Georgia May Jagger, as she’s just been announced as the brand new face of Thierry Mugler’s Angel perfume. Georgia May Jagger and Angel fit together rather seamlessly, don’t you think? Especially as he her famous mother Jerry Hall was also once a Mugler Angel herself back in the day… “My mother was a muse of Mugler and appeared regularly in his Paris runway shows,” Georgia said. “I have such wonderful memories of the fragrance and my mother’s involvement with the Mugler brand. It’s very special to me to be following in my mother’s footsteps.” We can’t wait to see her first ad campaign land; she has some very big shoes to fill (Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts have also represented the fragrance) but we definitely think she is up to the challenge. We can expect to see her first ad debut on June 23rd, but we will have to wait until the autumn to see it break in the fashion glossies. Ps: didn’t GMJ look phenomenal in a Mugler dress at last night’s Met Gala? [Grazia]
Read MoreElizabeth Olsen covers Marie Claire UK June in Miu Miu
We featured her older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley just a few days ago (they were talking about their new fragrance with Ellen DeGeneres) but today it’s all about Elizabeth Olsen. The gorgeous actress is Marie Claire UK’s June cover star, shot beautifully by David Roemer and firmly getting us into the spring/summer spirit thanks to a very apt floral Miu Miu dress and a killer smile. As well as posing in hot designer threads from Lanvin to Carven, she opens up to the mag about family, feminism, and most interestingly of all, who she had plastered on her bedroom wall. (Hint: it’s probably not who you think!) “I never had a heart-throb or a band I loved, but I had Michelle Pfeiffer, so I tried to copy what my friends would do and had magazine pictures cut out in frames,” she said. “She was the reason I wanted to be an actor.” And there we were thinking Elizabeth – or Lizzie as she prefers to be known – caught the acting bug from her famous sisters. You can read more interesting revelations in Marie Claire UK’s June issue, out today!

Read MoreGucci heads to The Chelsea Flower Show
The Chelsea Flower Show is strictly about all things horticulture, right? Wrong! This year’s Chelsea Flower Show is going to have a little more fashion injected into it, as it’s just been announced that Gucci will be taking part in it. The fashion House will create a garden for the first time, based on its iconic flora design… “Flora was the very first iconic design motif from Gucci’s storied past that I decided to revive and reinterpret,” creative director Frida Giannini said about the fashion House’s love of the flora print. “Since then I have used it on bags, dresses, scarves and as the inspiration for a series of fragrances. “Today, Flora has become a symbol of the Gucci woman’s effortless fusion of tradition and contemporary poise. The print holds special meaning to me.” If you’re more into your fashion than your flowers and your handbags rather than your horticulture then we have some excellent news for you. The brand will also be releasing a limited-edition Lady Lock handbag range that will feature the traditional flora print, sold exclusively at Gucci’s Sloane Street store from May. Plus you can also attend artisan workshops at the Gucci Sloane Street store from May 20th to 24th too. See – everyone can get involved! [WWD]
Read MoreTom Ford expands his empire with e-commerce site!
Wanted to snap up a luxurious Tom Ford piece but couldn’t be bothered to leave your house or even your sofa? Well that’s no longer going to be a problem, as the designer has just launched a chic new e-commerce site! “I have waited patiently to introduce e-commerce until I felt the foundation of the brand was well established offline,” Tom Ford said. “We now have 98 retail locations worldwide and the online store is an extension of them: it is a beautiful online space that carries exceptionally crafted, hand made products and offers superlative service.” We have to say that we are pretty excited to have one easy and convenient location to browse at/drool over luxury fashion. The site – which features both menswear and womenswear – has everything from handbags to sunglasses and even all the make-up and fragrances too. Unfortunately for us Brits, the website doesn’t ship to the UK just yet (sad face!) but watch this space… [Marie Claire]

Can we take a moment to congratulate Pharrell Williams on yet another fashion triumph? As if working on a fragrance with Comme des Garcons and creating a range of “happy” inspired t-shirts with Peace Love World wasn’t enough, it’s just been announced that he will be collaborating with Adidas on a fab new collection slated to launch in the summer! “Working with an iconic brand like Adidas is such an incredible opportunity,” he said. “From the classic track suit, to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths, Adidas has been a staple in my life. Their pieces are timeless. This is an exciting partnership for both me and for Bionic Yarn.” We don’t know exactly what pieces will feature in this exciting new collection, but we will of course keep you posted the second we find out. In the meantime, you can whet your appetite by checking out the announcement video below! http://youtu.be/acDu2i6cJ7w [Glamour]
Read MoreKit Harington for Jimmy Choo
It’s all about the ad campaigns this morning. First we told you that Clémence Poésy is returning for Chloé, and now it’s just been announced that Game of Thrones hunk Kit Harington will be the new face of Jimmy Choo. The 27-year-old British actor will reportedly be the face of the brand new Jimmy Choo Man fragrance which launches in September this year, and also star in ad campaigns for shoes, bags and sunglasses in partnership with Carrera. He’s going to be a very busy boy indeed! “Kit perfectly embodies the Jimmy Choo man,” said creative director Sandra Choi. “He has a natural and alluring masculinity and an effortless sense of style. His cool attitude and smouldering sensuality belie a true British gentleman.” We couldn’t agree more. And he’s pretty easy on the eye too, in case it wasn’t obvious… [Harper’s Bazaar]
Read MoreClémence Poésy is back for Chloé perfume
Clémence Poésy is back for Chloé, as she has been asked to be the face of a brand new “sophisticated and seductive” fragrance to be released at the end of the year. You may remember that Clémence was the very gorgeous face of Chloé Eau de Parfum between 2008 and 2010 alongside Anja Rubik, but now she is going at it alone; and we are pretty excited to see the finished results! “I am very proud and honoured to represent Chloé fragrance again,” she said. “When Chloé approached me, I immediately accepted. “It was so evident for me to come back to a brand that I feel so connected to.” And it looks like the feeling is mutual, as the brand is pretty chuffed to see her return too… “Working with Clémence on the ad campaign has been such a joy,” added Clare Waight Keller, creative director of Chloé. “She captures in her spirit both the effortless, free nature of Chloé but also the playful charm that is so true to the Maison and what is so modern now.” We couldn’t agree more, and we cannot wait to see the ad campaign when it launches at the end of the year. Watch this space, because we predict it’ll be bigger and better than ever! [Grazia]

No one would believe Alesha Dixon had given birth less than six months ago judging by her slim and slender figure displayed in the pic above, would they? The new yummy mummy – who gave birth to her adorable first child, Azura Sienna, back in October – looked positively delicious as she launched her brand new perfume Rose Quartz at the Fragrance Shop in London’s Westfield. The Britain’s Got Talent judge truly got into the spring spirit in a darling little skater dress from the House of Holland spring/summer 2014 collection, which she accessorised with gold sandals and a matching gold necklace. Oh, and who can forget that bold, statement hot pink lip and those voluminous ombre locks? We think Alesha looks absolutely flawless! [Image]
Read MoreWATCH: Milan Fashion Week AW14 highlights from Giorgio Armani and DSQUARED²
Here it is, the last day of Milan Fashion Week for yet another season, and the King of MFW, or should we say it’s saviour, Mr Giorgio Armani, ensured that he gave everyone something to talk about. And it wasn’t just what happened on the catwalk – but more on that later. The collection – entitled “fade to grey” – did pretty much what it said on the tin; grey is the new colour of the season in Giorgio Armani’s world, with a hint of lime green added in there for a splash of much-needed colour. Cropped trousers, pleats, elegant evening dresses that wouldn’t be out of place on this weekend’s Oscars red carpet. We hope to see Cate Blanchett, who is the face of the Si Giorgio Armani fragrance, in one of the floor-length dresses from this collection. So what else happened at the Giorgio Armani show that ruffled a few feathers? Well it wasn’t something that happened, it was actually something that didn’t happen! Anna Wintour decided to give the Giorgio Armani show a miss and ready herself for the Paris Fashion Week action, and Giorgio Armani was very vocal about his opinions on it. He was less than happy, let’s put it that way! “There are some who prefer to snub the Giorgio Armani show and go to Paris,” he said at a press conference after the show. “She took an airplane, dumped Mr. Armani and went to Paris.” Ouch! Anna Wintour’s people tried to do damage control though… “Anna has the greatest respect for Giorgio Armani and everything he has done for Italy and fashion worldwide,” said Anna’s representative at Condé Nast . “Unfortunately, with the fashion calendar now running for more than a month, there are some shows that Anna is not able to attend.” […]
Read MoreDid Leighton Meester and Adam Brody secretly get married?
Did former Gossip Girl Leighton Meester and former The OC star Adam Brody secretly get married? If we are to believe the reports that have been doing the rounds over the past 24 hours, the answer is a big fat yes! The wedding band on Adam’s finger pretty much gave that away… Adam and Leighton reportedly only got engaged around three months ago, but we think they might just be one of the cutest couples in Hollywood – they’re both incredibly good looking and hail from two of our favourite shows from back in the (sort of) day. And who doesn’t love a whirlwind romance? We’re all for celebs having their privacy, but we do have a burning question that we really want answered. Who did Leighton Meester wear down the aisle? We predict that she went for a Vera Wang gown, seeing as she was once the face of the Vera Wang Lovestruck fragrance (and what a beautiful face she was!) but then she may have done a Keira Knightley and gone for something understated instead… what do you think? We hope someone spills the beans soon or better still, issues an official photograph, because we think the former Blair Waldorf would make a gorgeous bride!

Read MoreKristen Stewart for Chanel – it’s official!
Wonderful news to wake up to this morning, as it’s just been announced that Kristen Stewart is the new face of Chanel! Kristen will be photographed by none other than Karl Lagerfeld himself for the 2013 Métiers d’Art Paris?Dallas collection campaign, and naturally had a front row seat for last night’s western-inspired Metiers d’Art show in Texas. The former Twilight star follows in the footsteps of the gorgeous Diane Kruger, Blake Lively and our very own English rose Keira Knightley as a Chanel campaign star, so she’s definitely in good company. She’s also the face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica fragrance, so she’s obviously had some practice posing for a big fashion ad campaign. The Métiers d’Art Paris?Dallas collection campaign is slated to break in May next year, so keep your eyes peeled. Congrats to Kristen on her new fashion job; we can’t wait to see the ad campaign! The red cups and Crimbo-inspired coffee mixes have arrived at Starbucks, luxury department store Barneys unveiled its festive windows via Instagram, and Oxford Street has been set alight, literally, with gigantic overhead snowflakes suspended from the sky. Yep, you guessed it – it’s the season of the rotund man in red aka Santa. Now, as much as we’d like to profess that Christmas is all about carving turkey as a family, while flinging spoonfuls of cranberry sauce at each other (out of love, of course), it’s only really about the presents, isn’t it? But, often more than not, shopping for these presents can lead to more frustration than festive cheer, which is why we’ve broken it down for you. Are you a classic panic buyer? Fret not. Suffering a financial drought? Don’t sweat it. Or, maybe you’re just plain lazy, preferring to do a trolley dash on Christmas Eve? Naughty, but we suppose it makes for a great pre-Xmas workout. Break down that whopping shopping list with our top tips on how to perfect the art of panic gift buying and enjoy it, below: Last minute panic buying isn’t all bad Although not so effective as a long term approach – we’re done with sweaty, mid-shopping centre tantrums – panic gift buying can sometimes leave you with a basket full of really great gifts. Read MoreIs Miu Miu moving to Paris?
Despite being based in Milan, Prada’s sister line Miu Miu has shown its new-season collections during Paris Fashion Week since 2006, which has always been a little bit strange. We never really questioned or disputed it though, we just kind of rolled with it. However, in a bid to distance itself from the Prada label and strengthen its structure in the French capital, many of the departments, which currently work in Italy, will be moving to Paris. We don’t know how this will affect things in the long run, but we do know that Miu Miu fragrance will be on its way in 2015 thanks to a deal with Coty Inc, so that’s pretty exciting! Prada fragrances are currently licensed with the Puig Beauty & Fashion Group, so the differentiation between the two labels is already starting. We’ll keep you posted with any new developments. [WWD]
Read MoreKanye West goes on another fashion-based rant, insists Hedi Slimane “copied” him
We’ve just told you about his girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s brand new fragrance, but now it’s time to talk about Kanye West as he has gone on yet another rant – this time claiming that new Saint Laurent Paris creative director Hedi Slimane copied him… “So when I see Hedi Slimane, and it’s like, ‘OK, this is my take on the world,’ yeah, he’s got some nice $5,000 jeans in there, it’s some nice ones here and there, some good shit here and there, but we are culture,” he began. “Rap is the new rock and roll. We are culture. Rap is the new rock and roll. We are the rock stars. It’s been like that for a minute, Hedi Slimane. It’s been like that for a minute. We the real rock stars, and I’m the biggest of all of them. “Whether I’m at a dinner with Anna Wintour, or a listening party with Pusha-T or in Rome with Virgil, giving Fendi our designs and getting them knocked down… We brought the leather jogging pants six years ago to Fendi, and they said no. How many motherf***ers you done seen with a leather jogging pant?” Erm, was that a rhetorical question? Should be begin trawling through the archives with our calculators? In the meantime, you can catch part 1 of the whole BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe in the video below; the fash trash talk comes in towards the end but we’d recommend sitting through the whole thing. Well this has to be some sort of record! Less than 24 hours after debuting on the Milan Fashion Week catwalk, Blake Lively has stepped out in a black liquid lame jumpsuit from the brand spanking new Gucci spring/summer 2014 collection. And doesn’t she look incredible in it? Why she wasn’t sent on the runway in it in a Rita Ora for DKNY fashion we will never know! The face of the Gucci Premiere fragrance looked positively glowing as she attended the Beauty in Wonderland exhibition in Milan yesterday evening. She accessorised her new-season jumpsuit with black open-toed sandals and an 18kt white gold and diamond horsebit cocktail ring, while sweeping her hair off her face in a chicly disheveled updo and opting for natural make-up. If it wasn’t already obvious why Gucci loves her, this look will definitely do the trick. A match made in heaven! [Image c/o Gucci]
Read MoreKristen Stewart topless for Balenciaga’s Florabotanica
Kristen Stewart is back for Balenciaga’s Florabotanica fragrance, and she’s sexier and more naked than ever! While K-Stew’s debut ad campaign for the fragrance was essentially an extension of her own personal style with the mini dress and disheveled hair, this ad couldn’t be any different. Kristen appears to be topless in the ad while some flowers were added on her back in post production (don’t worry she hasn’t been taking tattoo tips from Cheryl Cole) with her hair in a chic up-do and elegant make-up on her face. Many thought Kristen would be dropped as the face of the perfume when former creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere stepped down – we were amongst those people – but we’re so glad she stayed on. Just goes to show that she is in fact a versatile one and deserves to be taken seriously in the acting and fashion worlds. What do you think of Kristen’s newest ad campaign?

Read MoreHelp the world’s ocean with Davidoff Cool Water and National Geographic
A global campaign for one of the coolest fragrances in the world that also raises awareness and helps to preserve the world’s ocean? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal – let us tell you more! Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of one of the coolest and most popular male and female fragrances around: DAVIDOFF Cool Water, the brand has launched Love the Ocean 2 – a brand new global campaign that aims to support the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions. If you’re unfamiliar with the expedition, it’s mission is this – to identify, study and protect fragile marine ecosystems across the world. Paul Walker – who has a passion for the ocean and as a result, protecting it – is the face and spokesman for Davidoff Cool Water, and he has collaborated with Dr Enric Sal (a renowned marine ecologist and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence, whom was able to explore the Pitcairn Islands and Chile’s Desventuradas Islands through the collaboration). Together, they aim to raise awareness for the protection of the ocean. “People only protect what they love and people only love what they know,” Dr Enric Sala said. So with that logic in mind, they are encouraging you to get familiar with the world’s ocean so you can get behind the cause and help protect it. To celebrate the Davidoff and National Geographic partnership, limited edition sleeved packs for both the male and female Cool Water fragrances have been created; you can see them on shelves from this month, so keep your eyes peeled for them. They’d be perfect presents for upcoming birthdays – or even for Christmas if you’re a super-organised shopper! Their cool, subtle and unmistakable scents also means they’re perfect to pack in your suitcase for your summer holidays! Showing your support for this truly worthwhile cause […]
Read MoreThe beauty of (scary) feminism
Tom Ford is onto something. After providing the fairer sex with a super-luxe beauty range, complete with packaging to rival the clothes he creates, he’s now launching a new line to arm men with an arsenal of beautifying tricks to keep pretty. The new grooming line promises a range of skincare products, along with two new fragrances, and will be accompanied no doubt by a hefty price tag. All sounds pretty harmless, right? A bunch of multi-functional moisturisers and face masks to help prettify the modern, metrosexual man? Ah, but when the feminists got a whiff of what was going on, they only decided to portray their own version of events. Armed with a makeup bag and witty narration, the Feminist Make-Up Tutorial (scroll down for the video) is a new-age lesson in how to get that killer (pardon the pun) beauty look to make the modern, assumedly sexist man, weak at the knees with fear. Advising you to make the ‘wings of your eyeliner so sharp, they could kill a man’ and to ‘line your lips so that no one will be able to escape your wrath’, the tutorial draws you in like a conventional make-up lesson, but with very disturbing different intentions. All in the name of light-hearted playfulness, the tutorial addresses some serious issues affecting women all over the world, but what we want to know is if it hinders or helps these issues? Portraying the notion of beauty and enhancement as a weapon rather than a tool could potentially be negative, given that for many women, their beauty regime is the most important part of the day. And we’re pretty sure they don’t visualise spearing a man in the head when perfecting their eyeliner wings. Although the tutorial is an ironic portrayal of how the modern […]
