Shoulders are huge both in size and status. They are the must have silhouette for Spring/Summer 09 and will continue right through into Autumn/Winter. And you can always rely on Victoria Beckham to dabble in the trends before anyone else. And her she is in all her Balmain Spring/Summer 09 glory. As a colleague commented it’s like Audrey Hepburn joined the Hell’s Angels, but I kind of like it. The jeans are without doubt amazing, and the jacket is very Adam and the Ants but it really works. This high fashion look was all in aid of some well deserved shopping in Milan. And possibly to celebrate her new status as a voiceover artist. If you didn’t hear she’s done a voice for the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants in which she plays a Princess. We’ve also heard that she may be making a bit of a career out of voiceovers so watch this space. They are all about the sensual hourglass silhouette and the printed ‘Minerve’ is my personal favourite. But it isn’t just Victoria who will be causing a stir. Recent addition to on schedule at LFW, Eun Jeong is also going to be stocked on the wondrous site. Eun won the Fashion Fringe at Convent Garden award in 2008, and judging by the fashion lovelies’ gasps of excitement and nods of approval at her show on Friday, she is going to be a success. It’s her unusual cuts and mix of fabrics that makes her stand out from the fashion crowd. Taking harsh lines or difficult to wear styles and using soft fabrics to create these lovely, wearable items. Going broke for Beckham? Victoria’s AW11 accessories collection is polished but pricey
London Fashion Week is now a matter of days away, and undoubtedly, the crème de la crème of this excess-loving industry will be flashing their autumn/winter wares like exhibitionists with a penchant for, well, exhibitionism. They’ll stop at nothing to ensure they’re sufficiently papped; filling up memory card after memory card of the swarm of bloggers who descend upon the event. Victoria Beckham, the shrewd business woman-cum-acclaimed-fashion-designer has decided to strike the already saturated world of accessories with an extortionately priced nappa leather blow. And what timing. Into her second accessories collection, VB’s autumn/winter offerings are a recalling of the rigid, boxy aesthetic (a bit like her, really) from her debut spring accessories range. Nappa leather and shiny alligator varieties appear in the form of satchels, mini satchels, dual-fold shoulder bags, totes, duffle bags and the famed hexagonal chain bag, tied together by a season-surpassing colour palette of pumpkin and black buffalo, burgundy, vermilion and navy and adorned with pale gold hardware detailing. But the ‘normalising’ description above may only be serving as a clever ploy to distract you from the gaping price spectrum (starting from £750 – £18,000), not to mention the newly coined term ‘superbag’, which appears to vest in you some otherworldly sartorial force. We weren’t convinced back when we reported on this, and we’re not convinced now. The bags are definitely a vision of luxe-quality, fashion knowhow and purchasing power, but much discussion has surfaced to highlight ethical demons haunting VB’s collection. Daily Mail’s Liz Jones provided a distressing insight into the backdrop in which VB’s ‘farmed skin’ handbags are produced. Jones highlights the blatant ignorance of disturbing footage showing animal cruelty, which was sent to VB by PETA. It’s nearly the end of September which means it’s perfectly acceptable to start getting excited for Christmas. And if the thought of sleigh bells, turkey, cosy jumpers and gift exchanging wasn’t enough, we have yet another reason to get excited – we have a sneak peek of the Burberry Christmas advert starring Romeo Beckham! Oh yes, the middle Beckham boy (who is 12 years old now if you can believe it – bet that makes you feel old!) obviously impressed Christopher Bailey and the team when he starred in the spring/summer 2013 ad campaign alongside Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell, which is why he’s back for more, wearing one of the brand;s most iconic pieces. We bet Victoria Beckham is a very proud mum right now! Burberry confirmed the news yesterday by posting the above pic on its Instagram pic – the teases! – although not many other details about the ‘Burberry Festive’ campaign have been released. David Beckham is devilishly handsome in Ralph Lauren
We thought we’d mix it up a bit this Tuesday morning and feature a man in our celebrity style section. Not just any old man of course – the one and only Mr David Beckham! Victoria Beckham’s delicious-looking husband was at Wimbledon over the weekend (thankfully he wasn’t on screen for long otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to concentrate on the score!) and watched the very exciting Mikhail Kukushkin vs Rafael Nadal match on centre court from the privacy of the Royal Box. David looked extremely smart and handsome in his Polo Ralph Lauren Sport blazer, which he teamed with a Ralph Lauren Black Label white shirt, black trousers, and a matching tie that complemented the hues of the whole outfit perfectly. We’re not sure whether his Spice Girl turned fashion designer wife helped him put his outfit together or whether he managed it all on his own, but whoever it was deserves a huge pat on the back. Then again, we haven’t seen many outfits that David Beckham hasn’t looked good in, so we guess we are a bit biased. What do you think of Becks’ look?

David Beckham’s debut Belstaff collection is finally here!
Looks like Victoria isn’t the only Beckham with a nose for fashion and a talent for designing… Last year we told you that David Beckham would be collaborating with Belstaff on a cool menswear collection, and even showed you the very first look at the hot ad campaign (it had David Beckham in it, so of course it was going to be hot!) but now it’s time to take a look at some of the pieces in the range from one of his fave brands… “About five or six years ago I was looking for a cool biker jacket. I went into a vintage store and came across an old Belstaff jacket. I have worn it ever since,” Beck said. “Riding bikes obviously, it’s great for myself to be able to be part of a company that provides for me, the best bikewear.” Prices range £55.50 for a T-shirt, £235 for trousers and £413.70 for leather boots; everything is available on the Belstaff website right now, and will land in selected stores later this month. A great birthday present for a biker boyfriend or a bike enthusiast dad this Father’s Day! (It’s this Sunday, by the way!)

His younger brother Romeo has already got a taste of the modelling world thanks to his appearance in a Burberry ad campaign back in 2012, but now 15-year-old Brooklyn Beckham wants to give it a shot too. David and Victoria Beckham’s firstborn is the cover star of the bi-annual Man About Town publication – an honour his very famous dad David Beckham also had for the mag’s spring/summer 2013 issue. “We could not have wished for a stronger subject than Brooklyn to bring this story to life,” said the mag’s editor Ben Reardon. “He was a diligent, relaxed cover star for his first ever fashion shoot. “It is clear that he is becoming a credit to the family name, not only possibly the most famous in the world but one with a wealth of heavyweight fashion influence behind it.” Brooklyn can be seen posing in some very cool threads in the editorial images, from the likes of Saint Laurent to Ralph Lauren and many more in-between. In one of the most “thanks for stating the obvious” statements ever, Tommy Hilfiger has declared that David Beckham is the greatest male underwear model of the century. And we can’t help but agree! “I have seen all kinds of underwear models, but we all wish we looked like David Beckham at the end of the day,” the designer said. “He is like the underwear model of the century.” Talk about singing his praises! Is 10-year-old Romeo Beckham’s modelling debut justifiable?
The biggest story from the fashion world this week came by way of wealthy and well-known 10-year-old. Yes, 10. Romeo Brooklyn’s saccharine sweet schoolboy, (real schoolboy, might we add) looks were out in full force before the Burberry lens, as he made his modelling debut in the brand’s spring/summer 2013 ad campaign. Let’s just take a step back and look at the wider picture: Romeo is 10, and probably spends most of his days (when not at school) winding up his siblings, dismantling toy figurines and probably eating his own bodyweight in sweets. Now, let’s reassess: Romeo BECKHAM is the part of the need-no-introduction Beckham clan. His father is a world-class football player, and evidently the hottest man pacing the green fields of football stadiums. His mother, a fantastic designer, is a smile-phobe with a penchant for understated luxury and possibly the cutest 18-month-old hanging from her arm. So there you have it. Romeo, who looks super-cute in the Burberry campaign, mind, looked every inch the model child along with the competition threatening to outdo him: Edie Campbell and Charlie France. With his cheeky personality, deep-set eyes and lightly tanned skin looking not an inch out of place in a high fashion campaign, and a look that channels a child Humphrey Bogart in ‘Casablanca’, the middle Beckham was dubbed a “joy to work with” by Burberry’s chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey. But praise and appealing aesthetics aside, his debut as a child model for an iconic British brand has kick-started the age debate once again. At Elton John’s post Oscar party, you expect a whole host of stars. You expect all those who don’t get an invite to the awards to pull out all the stops for the parties. But there was only one person, we all wanted to look at: Victoria Beckham. She looked sensational. Who would have ever thought a long sleeved, high necked, floor length gown could ever look so sexy? It is one of her own creations, from her Victoria Beckham line and it really is stunning. There were other contenders for the style crown at the party, but none could beat Victoria. But let’s have a look at them anyway. So near There were some fabulous dresses on show, and one great trouser suit. I’m not normally a fan of suits at black tie events, but Eva Longoria managed that perfect blend between masculine and sexy. Those puffed up shoulders look fab and her toned down make up and hair suit her perfectly. Kate Beckinsale looked great in a beautiful one shouldered black dress. The diamonds also added a little sparkle turning her into a true Hollywood siren. Jennifer Love Hewitt managed to find the perfect fitting dress, and whilst it might not be the most showstopping of gowns, it suits her figure and shape beautifully. Natasha Bedingfield also opted for black in a form fitting number. The fish tail oozed sex appeal, whilst that low back showed off her great physique. There wasn’t a huge amount of colour on show. Does Victoria Beckham ever sleep? She is a fashion machine. And to add to her growing collection of Vogue covers she now graces Vogue Russia. Solve Sundsbo photographed Mrs Beckham who is featured sporting a Loewe crocodile skin captain’s hat and sucking her thumb. One of the dresses from her own line can just be seen. This is not the Victoria we are used to, in fact I think it would take you a double look to recognise her. Inside readers are treated to an interview and dramatic photo shoot. Victoria models one the dresses from her collection. Barbazan is a form fitting midnight coloured bodice dress with sequin panel. Her line has been given much praise even from industry sceptics, and you can see why. The lines and styles although undisputedly Victoria have a beauty similar to the more demure looks of the 1940s. Speaking to Vogue Russia, Victoria explained, “Forties and Fifties underwear played a big influence on the collection, but the inspiration is me. “I have tried every one of the dresses on, lived in them, to work out what feels right. I hope the silhouette is what every woman wants to wear.” Victoria was spotted wearing another of her creations earlier this week at the Fendi party during Milan Fashion Week.
